Impulse: adaptive architectural array
A scalable, adaptive, and architecturally responsive sound and light work that explores the idea of communication as an environmental experience.
Overview
Impulse inhabits and transforms architectural spaces into moments of light and sound using an array of small modules distributed throughout the space. Each module emits a unique message coded in morse- a letter, number, or a phrase- in pulses of sound and light. Through this process, sequences, rhythms, sentences and conversations can randomly emerge, surrounding the audience and dissolve across the space.
